British school debuts in Manhattan

With Thursday's opening of the new British International School of New York, Manhattan prekindergarten through fourth-grade students can now attend a school which follows Britain's national curriculum. The private school will offer a greater emphasis on world history, geography and British literature than U.S. counterparts, its director says, but the curriculum also will feature the creative elements in U.S. schools.
