Government has done enough to secure air travel, survey finds

After seven years of security enhancements at U.S. airports and airlines, a majority of Americans believe enough has been done to make flying safe -- and maybe even too much. A new poll from Ipsos-McClatchy shows 52% of respondents say they feel safe on airplanes, while only 38% believe that more should be done. The remaining 10% say the government has gone too far in its safety measures. As for airports, 50% say current security procedures are sufficient, 15% say they are excessive and 35% want to see additional safety measures.
