Nigeria militants report attacks at, near Chevron and Shell operations

Chevron and Royal Dutch Shell said they are investigating reports that militants attacked their Nigerian operations. While neither company said where the reports originated, the region's biggest militant group said it attacked Chevron's oil facility and blew up a pipeline in Nembe Creek, where Shell operates. The nation's oil industry has for years been the subject of occasional attacks by militants seeking a bigger share of revenues.
