Breast cancer drugs carry other risks for women

Drugs that help women reduce their risk of breast cancer can carry other health risks, according to researchers who analyzed multiple studies. Tamoxifen reduces the risk of recurrence with ER-positive breast cancer but increases chances for a more aggressive type of the disease, while both tamoxifen and raloxifene significantly raise the risk of blood clots.
