High school senior earns wings over the summer

While his friends may have been learning to drive, a 17-year-old high school senior in Kansas spent his summer learning to fly. Daniel Klinefelter earned his private pilot's license flying a four-seat Cessna 172 in an accelerated pilot training program at Kansas State University's aviation facility in Salina, Kan.
