Indian retailers, developers slowly embrace revenue sharing

Developments in India indicate that some of the country's mall developers and retailers are striking revenue-sharing deals. For example, Entertainment World Developers Pvt. Ltd. is allowing non-mall retail brands to sell goods through a mall-in-mall concept. The retailers do not have to pay rent or fees for maintenance of common areas. Instead, EWDPL will take a percentage of the merchants' turnover.
