Obama: Unemployment "bottoming out"; second stimulus unnecessary:

During separate television interviews, President Barack Obama said joblessness is "bottoming out," and he does not think the U.S. will need a second economic stimulus to pull itself out of recession. He told Bloomberg News that although he does not expect unemployment to get much worse, this is no time to start shutting down existing stimulus spending. Obama told CNBC that he has a "strong inclination" not to ask Congress for stimulus programs that go beyond the package enacted earlier this year.
