Photos dominate social-user activity

One researcher says user photos are key to the popularity of many social networks. "Seventy percent of all actions are related to viewing pictures or viewing other people's profiles," said Harvard professor Mikolaj Jan Piskorski. Men and women both tend to look at women's profiles, which get 67% of all page views.
