Qatar health bank nearing conclusion of cord-blood pilot program

The Virgin Health Bank at the Qatar Science & Technology Park -- a partnership between Qatar Foundation and U.K.'s Virgin Health Bank -- is nearing the end of a pilot program for the collection, processing and storage of umbilical cord-blood stem cells. The pilot was conducted in preparation for the opening of a national cord-blood bank in Qatar in the third quarter of next year.
