Business owners spend most of their time sweating the details, but Seth Godin argues that to have great "execution," entrepreneurs need to have the right "attitude" first. Godin writes that successful businesses follow a six-step path to greatness, starting with steps that conceptualize the business and then proceeding to planning and implementation. "If the top of the hierarchy is messed up, no amount of brilliant tactics or execution is going to help you at all," he writes.
