Boeing to demolish World War II-era plane factory

Boeing plans to tear down the 1936 Seattle factory famous for "Rosie the Riveter," the women who built World War II planes, including the B-17 Flying Fortress. The plant was so important at the time that Boeing camouflaged its roof with fake streets and houses of fabric and plywood. Demolition is scheduled for the fall.
