A number of transportation experts weighed in this week on President Barack Obama's proposed infrastructure plan. Transportation investment should be a part of any long-term strategy, said one expert. High-speed rail is rightfully part of the multi-modal mix, said another. "The best way to get our economy moving again is to tackle one of the biggest problems facing our country: our crumbling roads, bridges, railways, runways and other basic infrastructure," said Terry O'Sullivan, general president of Laborers' International Union of North America.
