Federal buildings to get energy-efficient retrofits

The federal government oversees about half a million buildings, and many are ripe for energy-efficient retrofits, writes Kelly Vaughn. The Rocky Mountain Institute is helping the General Services Administration to plan retrofits to trim the GSA's $7 billion energy bill and turn the agency's more than 350 million square feet of offices into LEED-rated models for commercial buildings around the country.
