IBM starts a program to help small businesses win corporate contracts

IBM will launch a website to help make it easier for small businesses to bid on contracts at some major corporations. Supplier-connection.net will allow small businesses to use one standard application to bid on contracts from six large companies including IBM, Pfizer, AT&T and Bank of America. The effort comes close on the heels of a study that shows increasing corporate supply-chain spending with small businesses could be a big growth opportunity for the economy.
