McAdam is seen as the likely successor to Seidenberg at Verizon

Verizon Wireless head Lowell McAdam has emerged as the most likely candidate to succeed Ivan Seidenberg as head of the parent company Verizon Communications after news of the retirement of Chief Financial Officer John Killian, according to The Wall Street Journal. Seidenberg, 64, could elect to retire next year. Verizon Wireless also offered some details on its launch of 4G LTE service this year, saying it will start service in 30 major metropolitan areas in the U.S. but did not name them.
