Republican candidates for Oklahoma insurance commissioner and other statewide positions are trying to defeat their Democratic opponents by associating them with President Barack Obama, who suffers from low popularity among the voters, writes The Oklahoman editorial board. "Nationalization of this election appears inevitable. We just hope voters will decide state races based on state concerns rather than making Obama the vicarious opponent in every single race," the board concluded.
