Pentagon: Costs on Northrop Grumman drone rising unacceptably

Pentagon officials say the price of Northrop Grumman's Global Hawk unmanned reconnaissance plane is growing at an unacceptable rate and they are not happy with the productivity on the project. A review of the $11.1 billion program to buy 77 planes is nearly complete, showing that costs have increased as much as 11% to $100.8 million since the project got under way in 2000.
