Use business jargon such as "proactive" sparingly in your resume or cover letter so you don't sound like every other job seeker, experts advice. "Overused buzzwords create nothing but white noise for the hiring manager. If the same words are on every resume, they lose all meaning and are absolutely useless in trying to find the right candidate," says Kathy Harris, managing director at Harris Allied.
