Boeing selects Android for in-flight entertainment system on 787

Boeing has decided to go with Google's Android operating system to provide in-flight entertainment on its new 787 Dreamliner. The system will provide airline-specific applications as well as music, video and games. All 787s now in production will include Android-based touch screens and servers, said Mark Larson, technical manager at the Dreamliner Gallery.
