Facebook's "subscribe" option adds new relationship possibilities

Facebook users now can "subscribe" to updates from a user without being a full-fledged friend on the site. The Twitter-style asymmetrical relationship isn't available for brands, but it could allow people to use their profiles to build a following outside of their personal connections, Mathew Ingram writes. Another feature that's touted as coming soon will allow users to post updates to Twitter directly from Facebook.
