FDA issues warning on "corn sugar" advertising

The FDA urged the corn industry to stop using and advertising "corn sugar" to describe high-fructose corn syrup for most sodas and packaged food, saying such name changes could be misleading. Experts have different views on whether high-fructose corn syrup is more dangerous than regular sugar but agree that consumers should cut their overall sugar intake.
