Intense workout helps control appetite, research suggests

Intense exercise can affect hormones to curb the appetite rather than making people hungry immediately after a workout, but the desire to refuel usually hits about an hour later and may be stronger in women, research shows. Experts warn people, however, not to fall into the "exercise halo" trap, where they feel so good about their workout that they reward themselves with unhealthy treats, which can stall weight-loss efforts.
