Kaiser grants help California communities focus on wellness

Nonprofit groups in California's San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys and Ventura County have been awarded grants from Kaiser Permanente for programs that improve health and wellness. More than $500,000 in grant money has gone to initiatives such as the San Fernando Partnership for Healthy Families Project, which offers nutrition programs and physical activities designed to reduce the risk of chronic disease and obesity.
