SGX looks into changes to clearing rules

Singapore Exchange wants to strengthen its derivatives-clearing system and enhance risk-management practices by making changes to its derivatives contracts. For example, the exchange has proposed changes to the way it will use its clearing fund if a member defaults. SGX said the proposed changes are part of a response to a global regulatory push toward over-the-counter derivatives clearing.
