Deal could increase the value of DISH's spectrum holdings by $1 billion

Federal regulators have helped broker a deal under which DISH Network will abandon efforts to use its valuable cache of wireless spectrum on a high-powered national TV service in return for approval of technical changes that would improve the satellite provider's ability to download data, in a deal that could boost the value of DISH's spectrum by $1 billion.
