InnerVision refines new ultrasound technology, works to broaden utility of sonography

InnerVision has developed a powerful new ultrasound technology that generates high-quality images even in patients with high body mass index thanks to its unique ability to transmit and receive ultrasound beams off multiple elements. It's an approach that could open the door to broader utilization of sonography, potentially eliminating the need for additional tests. "Because it is so much less expensive, you won't have to go to other modalities," said company chairman Michael Broadfoot. InnerVision is shopping for a partner to help refine and bring the technology to market.
