Kaiser data breach affects 670 patients

Kaiser Permanente is informing 670 patients of Kaiser Northern California facilities of a data breach that occurred in May when an e-mailed attachment with patients' protected health information was unintentionally sent to a recipient outside the company's network. Compromised data included patient names, appointment schedules for health screenings and medical record numbers.
