CDC: Prevnar vaccine supply back to normal, recommends full dosage

The CDC reported supplies of Wyeth's vaccine, Prevnar, are back to normal and recommended small children receive four doses to achieve full protection against a range of infections, including meningitis. Earlier this year, due to shortages of the vaccine, CDC and other health authorities recommended a two-dose regimen to conserve supplies while giving children at least the first crucial doses.
