FCC's Powell says Internet video, TV are coming soon

Consumers will soon be able to view TV-quality video through the Internet, according to Michael Powell, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. "IP [Internet protocol] TV and video are going to start coming on very, very strong," Powell said. Cable companies and video rental firms could face strong competition from broadband-delivered programming.
