Spain expected to approve therapeutic cloning

The Spanish government is about to approve the nuclear transfer technique known as therapeutic cloning, making it only the fourth country in the European Union to do so. Legislation likely is to be passed despite strong opposition by the Catholic Church, which argues embryos are destroyed in the process.
