California stops pushing for self-checkout alcohol ban, for now

A California bill that would have banned the sale of alcohol through self-checkout lanes was pulled from this year's legislative agenda, but will be reintroduced next year. Both unions and organizations such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Consumer Federation of California support the bill.
