Investors call for international treaty to fight climate change

Global investment firms at a recent meeting urged U.S. and other world leaders to forge an international policy agreement on climate change to reduce gas emissions by 50% to 85% by 2050. In a joint statement, investors said such a treaty could trigger a surge of investments for low-carbon technologies. "Without the policies to encourage clean energy, investors are stuck at the starting gates," one of the investors said.
