Motorola executive: Microsoft will back Windows Mobile

Microsoft's new tie-up with Nokia to install Office software on its partners' phones will not lead Microsoft to eventually abandon its support of Windows Mobile, a Motorola executive asserted Tuesday. Motorola Vice President Jerry McNerney expressed confidence that Microsoft would continue to back the mobile operating system, which powers his company's line of rugged handheld devices.
