Russia's X5 aims to become country's Amazon.com

Lev Khasis, CEO at Russia's leading food retailer, X5, acknowledged logistical barriers, but said the company would strive to be the country's answer to Amazon.com. "If we do it we want to be the No. 1 Internet retailer in the country, not just our company's Internet arm," Khasis said. He said X5 is working to enter the e-commerce market no later than next year.
