School construction boosts New Jersey economy

Since January 2006, the New Jersey Schools Development Authority has spent almost $5.3 billion on major construction projects, Gov. Jon Corzine said. He said the construction program has created 45,800 jobs and boosted the state's economy. The SDA is now on track to start construction on 27 projects this year that will help mitigate the effects of the economic downturn.
