TSA set to expand cargo screening program

After testing a remote cargo screening program since February, the Transportation Security Administration says it is moving to make the system mandatory. The Certified Cargo Screening Program requires airlines to inspect freight shipments off-site, then transport them securely to the airport. TSA says the program is necessary to help airlines reach the legally mandated deadline of August 2010 for screening 100% of air cargo aboard passenger flights.
