Detroit River international bridge plans stall on doubts

Plans for a publicly funded international bridge linking Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, appear to have stalled. There are enough doubts about security and funding, according to Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop, that lawmakers are unlikely to act on the proposed Detroit River bridge this year. That gives billionaire Manuel "Matty" Moroun more time to seek permits to expand his Ambassador international bridge, which is a private venture.
