Airlines oppose DOT proposal to collect details on fees

Airlines are objecting to a proposal from the Department of Transportation that would require them to report details about their ancillary fees and the revenue generated from the fees. "The proposal would create reporting requirements that no other consumer-service industry must bear," said the Air Transport Association and Regional Airline Association in comments filed with the DOT.
