Mass. town hopes to strengthen roads with cement additive

Construction crews in Milford, Mass., are trying out a cement additive that they hope will better protect roads against frost damage and potholes. The $15,000 additive increases the structural strength of roads, and Highway Surveyor Scott Crisafulli hopes it will make the road last up to 25 years. If the road holds up well over the winter, the town may start using the additive on other roads.
