NJ Transit approves $3.1M roof replacement for train station

Newark Penn Station in Newark, N.J., will be getting a new roof. The Board of Directors of New Jersey Transit on Wednesday approved a $3.1 million contract with G&M Eastern Contracting for installation of a new roof and a drainage system. The aging roof will be stripped down to its concrete decking, officials said.
