Australian university uses concrete free of cement for precast floor beams

The Global Change Institute of the University of Queensland in Australia is the first building in the world to use geopolymer concrete in a higher-level structural application, according to this article. The cement-free concrete, used for 33 of the building's precast floor beams, contains sand, aggregate and a binder that contains granulated blast furnace slag and fly ash and does not contain Portland cement.
