Catskill, N.Y. offers year's free rent to the right restaurateur

A building owner in Catskill, N.Y., will offer free rent for a year to the chef who comes up with the foodie-friendly concept that's deemed most likely to please the growing number of New York City transplants and raise the village's profile. "I don't know what the actual spark will be, but I certainly think this will help ignite whatever's going to happen," said Nina Sklansky, part of a group promoting Catskill. "If people are going to linger, they're going to want to eat."
