Legal experts are divided over whether condo and homeowners associations can legally bar unmarried couples from purchasing in their communities, an issue recently spotlighted by a Florida condo, lawyer Benny Kass writes. The Casa Di Amici Condominium Association in Venice, Fla., received national backlash for amending its legal documents to bar sales to unmarried couples and has since reversed the rule.
