Patient-centered research center gets $9M boost from PCORI

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute Board of Governors has awarded a $9 million contract to a group led by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute to act as a coordinating center for the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network. As part of the deal, the consortium will provide logistical and technical assistance to the network, which was designed to boost the U.S.' capacity to carry out patient-centered comparative effectiveness research.
