PCAOB plans to issue auditor-identification proposal by year-end

The U.S. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board will issue a proposal on auditor identification by Dec. 31. This rule could require auditors to include their name in corporate annual reports. Separately, the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board is working on this issue, with an eye to issuing a standard that would take effect with 2016 audits.
