Private plane encounters security search

Pilot David Brodsky recently had his aircraft searched when he landed in Boonville, Mo., after a flight from California. Officers told him they had a tip he was carrying marijuana. "They think people are flying pot out of California," Brodsky said. "They're casting a wide net and hoping to catch something -- and trampling people's civil rights in the process." AOPA has had numerous complaints of unprovoked searches.
