Report: School districts are spending less per student

States are allocating less money for per-student spending now than in 2010, according to a report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. The cuts have affected special education, with spending for students with disabilities declining 11%. According to the report, some of the decline can be attributed to across-the-board federal spending cuts enacted earlier this year.
