Women are less likely to get high-paying degrees

Research has found that women are more likely than men to choose majors that lead to lower-paying career paths. Men earn the majority of degrees in nine of the 10 majors that are worth the most money. In addition, some women who graduate with relatively lucrative degrees nevertheless end up in lower-paying professions.
