Expert encourages use of health record banks

Dr. William Yasnoff believes the health record bank model will offer financial incentives to office-based doctors and provide patients more control over their medical records. He says local trusts should build and operate the banks to be a central repository for medical records information, paid for and controlled by patients, and says chronic disease patients likely will be early adopters.
