SBA, House differ on proposed investment law

The Small Business Administration has objected to parts of a proposed federal bill to encourage investment in the early stage for small businesses. The House Small Business Committee wants more support from the SBA in low-income areas, but SBA Administrator Steven Preston points out that expanding the program is premature because none of the loans the SBA has already given have been repaid.
